Bank of Maharashtra: Updated COVID-19 Operating Hours
The Bank of Maharashtra has updated its operating hours due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Currently, the bank operates from Monday to Friday between 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM. All essential banking services, including account opening, passbook updates, and cash transactions, are available during these hours. Customers are encouraged to use online services such as BOM Net-banking and Mobile Banking to minimize branch visits.
For safety, the bank has instituted measures like social distancing and strict sanitation protocols. All visitors must wear face masks and use hand sanitizers upon entry and exit.
Additionally, the bank has relieved customers by waiving service charges on savings accounts and NEFT transfers. Charges for ATM withdrawals at other banks and minimum balance penalties have been lifted. The Guaranteed Emergency Credit Line (GECL) is now available to support MSMEs, offering affordable credit to sustain operations and restart enterprises.
Note that the bank is closed on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays each month and does not observe a fixed lunch break. Employees instead stagger breaks between 1:00 PM and 3:00 PM to maintain customer service. Customers wishing to access bank lockers should do so within working hours, as access is not permitted outside these times.
With 1,846 branches and 1,864 ATMs nationwide, the Bank of Maharashtra remains dedicated to delivering comprehensive services, including consumer banking, investment solutions, and corporate banking. For further details, customers can visit the official website or their nearest branch during these hours.
